Lapp Cable Asia belongs to the Lapp Group with its head office in Stuttgart, Germany. As a global player and system supplier with 35 sales companies, 15 production sites and another 100 partners in various countries around the world, the Lapp Group has many years of know-how and, as a manufacturer of brand-name products for all aspects of cable technology, is one of the most innovative, successful corporate groups on the world market.

Oskar Lapp developed the world's first industrially produced control line: ÖLFLEX®.

He discovered that customers have difficulty pulling cores into hoses. All components -- both the hoses and the cores -- were black at that time.

Cable production was still in its infancy. Locating the matching ends of the cable was a complex and often time-consuming process -- so-called "ringing through". Oskar Lapp developed an idea that was to prevail the world over: the color code for cables. A practical further development for the recognition of the matching core ends.

After having founded Lapp companies in Europe and America, the Lapp Group expanded into the asian market:

Today Ursula Ida Lapp, the widow of Oskar Lapp and her sons Andreas and Siegbert are running the company.
